The Portrait Steel Door System is a popular choice for new construction
or remodeling applications. Wood edges are easily field trimmed, sized and finished. This design combines the advantages of a wood-edge door with the durability of roller leveled steel panels. Steel panels are available in 24- or 25-gauge steel depending on market. Wood stiles and top rail are combined with a steel bottom rail to resist warp and rot.

For insulation value, a solid core of polystyrene is sandwiched
between the steel panels. The core, which is adhered to the panels,
increases overall strength and resistance to dents. For superior
rust resistance, the steel panels are galvanized and coated with
epoxy on the inside and receive two coats of enamel primer on the
exterior. This process has the highest rust resistance rating and
has a 10-year limited warranty.
