Stock Building Supply Announces New Vice President of Sales

Raleigh, NC – March 5, 2010 – Stock Building Supply Holdings, LLC (“Stock”), an affiliate of The Gores Group, announces that Nigel Stobart has joined the company as Vice President of Sales. In this role Stobart will lead Stock’s sales teams as well as sales-related initiatives.    

Stobart has been serving as strategic advisor to Stock in connection with its process improvement initiatives. 

Prior to joining Stock, Stobart most recently served as Senior Vice President and Chief Operating Officer for Wire One Communications, Inc., in Pennsylvania. In this role, he led key restructuring initiatives and managed the service and product operations as well as the human resources team. Stobart helped lead Wire One through the sale process to a strategic buyer from private equity ownership.  

Stobart has held key positions with many leading companies. Prior to Wire One, he served as senior director of sales operations for the professional business group at Gateway, Inc. Before that, he was with Bain & Co. advising his clients on mission-critical projects. Stobart holds a bachelor of economics and a law degree from Monash University in Melbourne, Australia, as well as an MBA from the University of Chicago. Before attending business school, Stobart held positions with leading law firms in Melbourne and London.

As Vice President of Sales, Stobart will bring his sales and business acumen to drive sales for Stock and lead customer service initiatives.
