This strategic sales leader will have the responsibility for the creation, implementation and achievement of the sales plan for the division in conjunction with divisional business plan. Job Description:
- Develop, design and execute sales training initiatives and programs to meet sales professional development needs for Stock Building Supply.
- Ensuring Sales strategies and action plans are supported and integrated into the sales training initiatives and programs.
- Includes individualized and market level programs. Implement and align National Sales strategies and goals into local and market sales trainings.
- Utilize well rounded training methods and programs to deliver targeted training in the most cost effective, efficient and results-driven methods.
- Achieving timely support and effective training for sales performance behaviors and strategies.
- Participation in national, divisional and market level strategic review of sales performance to determine and understand current sales needs and implement further training.
- Establish benchmarks, regularly assess and develop further support and training to identify performance gaps and necessary training actions.
- Partner with Divisional and Market Sales Managers developing sales talent pool to ensure successful retention and promotional standards. Actively support Divisional and Market Sales Managers in sales training and targeted behaviors, sales development tactics and strategic sales plan execution.
- Deliver professional sales training and development programs to ensure training, coaching and enabling technologies are effectively utilized and enhanced sales performance is achieved throughout the organization.
- Regularly provides market intelligence and feedback; including relevant team and individual performance, pricing, competition and divisional developments to National Leadership.
- Develop high functioning partnership with SSM’s, MSM’s, DSM’s and VP of Sales as well as all corporate teams.
- Facilitate strong communication through regular attendance and participation in divisional and market sales meetings. Open communication with all levels regarding market challenges, solutions and business impacts.
- Effectively communicate with diverse levels of customers, vendors and associates.
- Provide input and assistance in the development and implementation of market sales team development planning.
- Assist in development of metrics relating to sales training program (including return on investment and content retention testing).
- Assist larger training function with professional development programs as needed.
Requirements:
- Minimum education required—Bachelors in business management, marketing or related field or equivalent work experience.
- Minimum experience required—7 years sales and sales training/ sales management experience.
- Demonstrated sales and training experience, working knowledge of sales forecasting and analysis, as well as strong sales strategy and marketing skills.
- MS Office and Computer literate.
